Mrs. Yermack has been a fixture at UA for over a decade, bringing energy, compassion, and deep knowledge of our school and its mission. As we begin our 26th year, there’s no one better to lead us forward.

Mrs. Yermack has spent 23 years in education—14 of them right here at UA. She’s worn many hats, including Academic Dean, Director of Accountability and Testing, Middle School Principal, Dean of Students, and Assistant Principal in both our Lower and Middle Schools. No matter the title, Mrs. Yermack leads with heart and always puts students first.

A Union County native and proud Monroe High graduate, Mrs. Yermack earned both her BS in Mathematics and Education and her Master’s in Educational Leadership from Wingate University. She and her husband Mike have two daughters—Kathryn, a rising 9th grader, and Kennedy, a rising 7th grader. UA isn’t just her workplace—it’s her family’s school home, too.

She believes in educating the whole child and knows that strong academics, strong character, and a strong connection to our community all matter. That’s what makes Union Academy special—and that’s what she’s committed to protecting and growing.

”I believe we truly educate the whole child. While academics are very important, building a student’s character and connecting our students to our community is equally important.”

You’ll see Mrs. Yermack just about everywhere—at morning carpool with a smile, walking the hallways and visiting classrooms, and cheering on our Cardinals at extracurricular events and games. Be sure to stop and say hello or introduce yourself—she can’t wait to connect with students, families, and staff as we kick off another great year together!

“What I love most about UA is that we truly consider ourselves a family—‘everyone together in all things.’ We want every student, staff member, and parent to feel welcome here and to find their own meaningful way to connect to our community.”

Please join us in welcoming Mrs. Yermack as she helps guide UA into an exciting future rooted in 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞. 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫. 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲.
