For many, the path to their dream career is a straight road. For Mrs. Joanna Langkopp, however, it has been a journey spanning over two decades, marked by perseverance, determination, and the unwavering support of her family and school community.

The Union Academy FFA Chapter demonstrated skill and dedication at the 2025 FFA Poultry Evaluation State Career Development Event (CDE), with both the Senior and Junior Teams earning first place finishes. Competing in Raleigh, North Carolina, these students represented their school and chapter at the state-level competition.

Union Academy high school students recently participated in a hands-on learning experience designed to equip them with vital life skills while also exploring future educational opportunities.

Union Academy students of all grade levels came together for a day of service, partnering with Servants with a Heart to pack more than 72,000 rice-based meals for individuals facing food insecurity in Cuba.

Union Academy’s 4-H Senior Poultry Judging Team achieved remarkable success at the National Poultry and Egg Conference held in Louisville, Kentucky, proudly representing North Carolina.
