Branding Guidelines

The purpose of the Union Academy Brand Guide is to create a visual identity and expand the school's brand. This brand guide will provide assistance and become a resource for marketing and communicating your ideas, which align with the goals of Union Academy and focus on the vision statement of challenge, character, and community. All printed material produced by or for Union Academy Charter School must contain a proper identification of Union Academy, using the approved logo or seal. In order to protect the brand of Union Academy Charter School, these guidelines are set to establish clear rules and standards that communicate the Union Academy brand and ensure proper representation of the school's community. Union Academy has high expectations for all materials and publications produced by educational institutions. Therefore, in addition to using a clear and consistent style, it is critical that all materials be free from grammar and spelling errors.

Brand Usage and General Specifications

Stationary Guidelines

Letterhead, envelopes, and business cards for all departments and schools must carry the registered UA logo. The letterhead, envelopes, and business cards used by UA departments, schools, and staff represent the system's formal and public image. Because of their importance, consistency is fundamental to ensuring that the school system presents an attractive, unified, and readily recognizable appearance. All departments are strongly encouraged to use the official stationery. The stationary may be personalized with your individual department or school name, address, phone and fax numbers, and email address. School websites and school logos, printed in navy, may also be added to the stationary.

Print Collateral

Our overall goal with all UA collateral, whether printed publications and support materials or online websites and emails, is to promote the UA brand. All collateral produced for UA must conform to the district standards in the use of the logo, fonts, and colors. The colors used are flexible, but the logo must be printed prominently with ample clear space in one of the approved colors.

  • Keep all publications simple.
  • Use photographs.
  • Do not use more than two fonts in one publication.
  • Help the reader know what's most important.
  • Don't be afraid of white space.
  • Use standard sizes.

Email Signature Guidelines

In order to maintain the UA brand, we must have the same email signature throughout the  organization. The following signature format should be applied to the bottom of all emails.  Use the Georgia font to create the signature.
