Mr Alexander - Agriculture
Mr. Michael Alexander
I was raised in the foothills of Western North Carolina in the small town of Marion. I graduated from McDowell High School. After graduation, I attended North Carolina State University where I majored in Animal Science and Agriculture Education. I graduated in 1996 with a Master's Degree in Agriculture Education and a Minor in Animal Science. I have been teaching Agriculture since the fall of 1996 (25 years). This will be my third year teaching at Union Academy. Currently, I teach 6th grade Agriculture, 7th grade Agriculture, 8th grade Agriculture, Agriscience Applications, Animal Science 1, Animal Science 2 Honors and Animal Science 3 Honors. I also serve as the Advisor for the FFA Chapter and the leader of the Union Academy 4-H Livestock Club. I have two children who attend Union Academy. My daughter is in the 6th grade and my son is in the 4th grade. I love working at UA because of the strong emphasis on Character, Challenge and Community.
