It's hard to believe the 2017-18 school year is already over. We hope you're enjoying your summer break! We'll be adding new information to this page all summer while you're by the pool. Please check back frequently as we continue to add valuable information before we see you back in class on Monday, July 30.
Looking for a form? All the updated forms will be under the Students & Parents - Important Forms page. Also, please remember, hold onto those forms until the first week of school. Homeroom teachers will collect them.

2018-19 Summer Reading Information

Grades K, 1 and 2


Grades 3, 4 and 5

  • NEW on June 25! The following titles were added to the summer reading choices. Due to reading level and complexity, most of these below titles are recommended for students entering grades three and four, while the titles listed on the link above are recommended for students entering grades four and five. However, the most important thing is that kids find a great read this summer.

  • There are two required summer reading books. When school begins, we will use the summer reading books to practice note-taking, discussion, and writing.
  • Please note: Eighth-grade students taking high school English I should refer to the high school reading list. DO NOT select Anthem as your summer reading book.

Student Parking Passes:

This year, we will distribute parking permits on a first-come, first-served basis. Permits are $45 ($22.50 if purchased after January 1, 2019) and students must complete two steps before they are eligible to pick up their permit AND select a parking space:

  1. Make payment online: http://unionacademystore.org/. PLEASE NOTE: The online payment portal will not open until July 1, 2018.
  2. Complete the registration form located in the description on the payment portal or at this link: Registration Form Click Here

After completing both steps, students may pick up their parking permit and select their parking space during the following dates and times. Counselors will also be available for schedule changes at these times.

*Freshman schedules will be available online in early July. Printed schedules will be distributed at Freshman Orientation

ONLY students or their designated family member may pick up the parking permit and choose a parking space during the times listed above. Friends will NOT be able to hold or reserve spots.

Students unable to come during these times will be assigned a parking spot and will be called down to the business office to pick up the parking permit.
