Character ~ Challenge ~ Community:

I am proud to say I have been a part of the Union Academy community since 2013, having taught in both our High School and Middle School communities. UA's dedication to the foundation principles of character, challenge, and community attracted me here, and our fabulous students and UA family have kept me thrilled to arrive at school each morning! It has been a long journey to discover UA. I entered the teaching profession 16 years ago after 25 years in the business world...giving way to my passion for education and belief in the capacity of our new generation to shape the world for the better. I started out long ago with my pursuit of a Bachelor of Arts at San Francisco State University, then went on to earn a Master in Public Administration from Harvard University. In addition to these two degree programs, I have persevered in attending classes at eight universities and colleges (from Indiana to Israel) in my quest for lifelong learning--always with the purpose to put education into action in the service of our world!

Class Supplies:

It’s simple... Bring your Chromebook and charger with you daily!

Virtually all class work, projects, papers, assessments, and notes will be accessed through your Chromebook. It is critical that you access and submit work through your own Class page. If you are not in class, you are still expected to submit your work electronically by the due date. You will have the option to use the digital version of our textbook and novels; you also will have hard copy options. The textbook is available in class, and you may borrow a copy for the year to keep at home. You are responsible for writing down and using all access codes, usernames, and passwords to our digital resources; these are not posted online.
