I grew up in Niagara Falls, NY, when to college in Florida, and taught in Northern Virginia and Costa Rica before moving to North Carolina. It is hard to believe that this is my thirtieth year teaching. It seems like only yesterday I began with a class of second graders. I have also taught fourth, fifth, and first grade. Though I loved teaching those other grades I have enjoyed being back in 2nd grade and look forward to having an awesome year. I have been at UA since 2001.
My husband and I love animals so we have several pets. We have a dog, one cat, a rabbit (Midnight, which comes to school), and one turtle, Odie. They all get along too, which is great!
I love to be outside walking, hiking, rollerblading, or just enjoying nature. Traveling is also something I love to do. I have had the privilege to travel to many countries, meet many people, see beautiful scenery, and learn about many different cultures. Foreign money is something I like to collect. I also like to be creative (write songs, make things). Listening or playing music is a big part of my life also.
I look forward to an awesome year!!!
