My name is Katie Craig! I am a first-year teacher here at UA this year (2021-2022). I am a recent graduate of UNCC (go Niners!), where I obtained a BFA in K-12 Art Education. 

 

I grew up in Davidson NC, but moved to the Charlotte area in High School. 

I attended a small arts school for High School where I focused on visual arts in addition to my core subjects. Art has always been a drive and major motivator in my life. I love creating and good DIY project has my name written all over it! 

 

In addition to the arts, I have also always had a passion for Education. 

However, it wasn't until college that I realized I wanted to teach art specifically. 

 

In my free time, I spend a lot of time with my family and my newborn niece Wrenly Ro (she's the best). I am involved in a new church re-plant in NoDa, Charlotte. It takes a lot of my free time, and I love it! I'm a big fan of coffee, the color pink, and plants.
