Jr. Beta is a national organization for students in grades 4-8. Jr. Beta was founded in 1934 to promote the ideals of academic achievement, character, service, and leadership. At Union Academy Jr. Beta is divided into two clubs, Jr. Beta(Elementary) for 5th grade and Jr. Beta for 6th, 7th, and 8th grades.

Jr. Beta consist of two separate groups. Jr. Beta(Elementary) is for grade 5 and Jr Beta is for grades 6-8. Each division has a separate of requirements and being in Jr. Beta(Elementary) does not automatically get into Jr. Beta. Shared requirements of both groups are staff recommendations and a commitment to community service. Both groups have dues of $25.00 due the first year student joins Jr. Beta. The dues do not carry over from Jr, Beta(Elementary) to Jr. Beta.

Jr Beta (Elementary) 5th
Sponsor 5th teachers with lead being Karlyn Brown
To be eligible for selection to membership in the Union Academy Chapter of the National Junior
Beta Club, candidates must meet the following requirements:
Jr. Beta 6th-8th Grades
Sponsor 6th-8th grade teachers, Beth Rushing, Stacy Ferguson assistant.
