Señorita Julie Núñez - Classroom 233
I grew up in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, with my family of eight, including four brothers and one sister. We all continue to be very close, and I really enjoy my 12 nieces and nephews. I studied in Spanish from K-12th and then proceeded to get my BA at Texas Christian University in Ft. Worth, Texas, in order to improve my 2nd language: English. I also speak conversational German and am passionate about learning and teaching foreign languages. I’ve taught high school and/or middle school Spanish since 2003, including Spanish I, II and III, IV and have tutored all levels in both public and private prep schools. I have various language certifications, and I am a published Spanish textbook author. I have also had the privilege of traveling, teaching languages, and doing medical mission trips to many places in the world, including Mexico, Cuba, Haiti, China, Puerto Rico, Europe and Ukraine. I’ve been teaching at Union Academy since 2016, and currently teach Spanish 2, Honors 3 and Honors 4 and Honors 5. I love working with students and teaching languages, and I especially hope to consistently model integrity, excellence and kindness. I’m looking forward to a great school year!
