High School & College Placement

High School Counseling Staff:

Ms. Claire Koning is UA’s School Counseling Department Administrative Assistant. In addition to managing student records, she works with student data in PowerSchool and Naviance-Family Connection. 

Mrs. Holly Hammonds is the school counselor for students with last names A-L in Grades 9-12. She has worked in the school counseling profession at the high school level for 7 years.

Mrs. Sherryann Sylvestre is the school counselor for students with last names M-Z in Grades 9-12. For 15 years, she  worked with school districts across the country, training and coaching teachers, parents, and students. She has also worked with a college prep organization, training high school students to successfully transition into college.

SAT Information:

The SAT is an admission test for college.  Most four-year colleges require students to submit admission test scores as part of the application process.  The SAT gives students the chance to demonstrate their college-preparedness and connects students to scholarship opportunities.  The SAT helps guide students on their path through high school toward college and career choices.
