Beth Rushing - 7th Grade Math

Union Academy has been my home away from home since 2004.  My first year at UA was the year the first "Upper Campus" building was complete: literally there was not even a gym here at the time.
I have 4 sons; all fully launched.  My two youngest graduated from UA in 2015.    Michael is the oldest and the father of two of my beautiful granddaughters, Madison and Savannah.  Josh is technically in the middle and is a FANTASTIC Union County deputy sheriff and the father of  my youngest granddaughter, Paisley and is expecting our first gradnson, Denver.  Robert and Jordan are twins.  Robert is an accountant in Charlotte and Jordan is in the an officer in the Navy in the submarine community.
I have taught math for many, many years to both 5th and 6th grade and this year will be my first as a 7th grade teacher.  For four years, I was the Experiencial Learning teacher at Union Academy, and I plan to bring the great lessons from that class to my math classes.  I believe wholeheartedly in the three C's: Challenge, Character and Community.  I have a passion for helping the community and hope I will be able to share that passion with the students this year.
Here are the supplies for my math class for the 21-22 school year:
1 inch binder
4 dividers
cap erasers
