Union Academy Supports the Mental Health of Students

Ms. Kristen Oliver joins Union Academy with over seven years of experience providing therapy to children, adolescents, and families. She obtained her Masters of Social Work from the University of South Carolina and has worked for the State of SC as a child, adolescent, and family therapist and as a school based therapist in an elementary school. Ms. Oliver will work in conjunction with Union Academy’s five licensed School Counselors to serve all students in need. In addition, Union Academy will screen all students for possible mental health concerns. This teacher based screening is in accordance with the policies passed by the North Carolina General Assembly and the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction. As always, parents are asked to reach out to their child’s teacher(s) or school counselor if there is a concern. Together we can help all students reach their potential.
