We understand that closing school will be inconvenient for many of you. However, the health and safety of our students is the number one priority. Please understand that school is closed to help minimize the spread of germs, and students and families should stay home and away from crowds.
All students need to drop by campus on Monday to clean out lockers, gather personal items, devices if requested, and/or get packets from teachers. There will be assigned times for students to be on campus by last name. The details for Monday will be sent out Sunday evening. Please look for an email and post on our webpage.
We have worked with our teachers to activate our remote learning plan, so we can continue to educate our students. You will be receiving a communication from your child’s teacher in the next week with instructions on how to help your child transition smoothly to a successful remote learning plan.
We understand that remote learning may be difficult for some students who do not have computers or internet access at home. If you are in this situation, please contact your child’s teacher directly. If you have not completed the survey Internet and Device Availability please do so now for EACH of your UA students, so arrangements can be made if possible.
This is an unfortunate situation for all of us, and we are problem-solving as new issues arise. We will continue to reevaluate the situation on a daily basis and plan for the coming days and weeks. The health and safety of our UA community is a shared responsibility and one that we all take seriously.
Please be aware changes could come after our conference call with the Superintendent of Instruction Mark Johnson tomorrow. Continue to check your email and our webpage for updates.
We will miss all of our students and hope you all stay healthy and safe.
We are UA!
