Union County residents who get their water from Union County Public Works are advised to continue boiling their water through Friday evening. For more information about the water boil advisory, visit the Union County Government website.
UA will not host any athletic events tomorrow, March 13. However, away games at other school sites will be determined by the host school. Coaches will be in contact with their players to update them.
Additionally, the NCHSAA has made the decision to suspend all athletic events beginning on Friday, March 13 at 11:59 p.m. through April 6. The governing board will continue to monitor the situation over the next few weeks and make any additional decisions at that time. This includes all practices, workouts, skill development and contests. At this point, any event scheduled for Friday, March 13 is still permitted.
We recognize that this is a worrisome time and the cancellation of events is very disappointing to all of our students. Our children and families are affected as well. The links below contain information to help you talk with your children about COVID-19, stay informed as a parent, and get updates from NCHSAA.
