Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. Tim Adams

I grew up in Mt. Holly, North Carolina, and I graduated from UNCC in 1987 with a BA in English Education and in 1994 with a MED in Curriculum and Instruction.  I began my teaching career in 1987 at Piedmont High School, and I taught there until 2006 when I moved to UCEC until 2021 when I retired from UCPS.  I worked for a year at Lowe's as an MST, but I felt the call to return to teaching and accepted a position here at UA.

I am married to Tonya, a science teacher at UA.  We have two children--Luke and Shelby.  While Luke is currently waiting on us in Heaven, Shelby is a junior at UNCC working on her Communications degree and interning for UNCC football and baseball.

In my spare time, I enjoy going to UNCC football and basketball games (GO NINERS!) as well as playing Xbox, reading, and fishing.  I also enjoy spending time at the beaches on Sullivan's Island and Hilton Head.

I look forward to getting to know you and your son/daughter and seeing what we can accomplish this year at UA!
