I have been teaching since 2013 and joined Union Academy in 2022.  I have taught multiple subjects within the social sciences at both the middle and high school level.  I have also coached various sports throughout the years and enjoy watching sports (any of them) when not coaching.  I enjoy teaching and I hope to be a positive influence on all the students I encounter. 

Before becoming a teacher, I served in the South Carolina National Guard as a medic.  I deployed to Afghanistan in 2010 and pursued my teaching career soon after returning home.  I left the Army in 2019 just after my son was born.  I also worked as an Emergency Medical Technician and then a First Aid Supervisor at Carowinds through college and into my early teaching career.  Today I have slowed down (at least on the number of jobs) and I enjoy spending time with my family and being a mommy. 

I currently teach Psychology, Sociology, and Civic Literacy here at UA.
