Ms. Lucinda Supernavage

Ms. Supernavage was raised in New Jersey and has been teaching various grades and levels of science (as well as Physical Education and Psychology) since 2001 on both the west and east coasts. She was a fellow at the Charlotte Teachers Institute for three years, where she participated in various seminars working closely with amazing professors from Davidson College. Through this life-changing experience, she was able to design three unique curriculum units which have been published for the Yale National Initiative. She has had the honor and immense pleasure of being at Union Academy since 2014, teaching AP Biology, Honors Anatomy & Physiology, Biology, and Forensic Science, hosting the Pinterest Club, coaching Girls on the Run, being the Student Council Advisor, and helping out with anything that is asked of her. She currently serves as the Assistant Principal of Academics and Student Engagement for the high school. In addition to this role, she also teaches AP Biology and advises the High School Student Council.

She has an amazing son who is a rising sophomore at Union Academy and a crazy boxer pup named Oakley. Ms. Supernavage loves the beach and travelling around the world and can often be seen on many adventures with her son. Her other hobbies include having a dance party while cleaning her house, snowboarding, kickboxing, doing crafts, and just being outdoors. Being a mommy, an educator, and the best person she can be is what she feels she was put on this Earth to do.
