I have been a UA staff member since 2013, working as a curriculum support coach in elementary and middle school, and returned to my roots as a high school English teacher in 2020. I live in Waxhaw with my husband, my twin girls who are now seniors at UA, two dogs, and one cat. I am originally from Oxford, Ohio where I attended Miami University. We moved to NC in 2000 at which point I started teaching at Piedmont HS. After some time as a stay at home mom and a part-time employee in UCPS, I joined the UA team. I am currently the department chair in the UA English Department, and I just love working with my colleagues! I have enjoyed working with our high schoolers and am looking forward to another great year in English 3 and AP Language and Composition. Go Cardinals!
