Union Academy High School

Union Academy's High School is housed on the Murray Campus in conjunction with the Middle School.  Our High School currently consists of 9th, 10th and 11th grades, but we will add a grade each year until we celebrate our first graduating class in June of 2009.  This group of students is  learning a great deal about leadership and community by working together with their peers, teachers, and parents to build a successful program which will produce graduates who are prepared to attend the colleges of their choice and become confident contributors to the global society.

In order to meet the needs of our diverse student population, we try to provide opportunities for our motivated students while providing support to our students in need.  With that in mind, our current course of study at Union Academy, in compliance with its charter and mission, will require that all students complete the College/University Prep diploma requirements.  Although many courses and options exist within that pathway, the completion of just our basic graduation requirements will prepare students for continuing education after high school, a critical path for success in a rapidly developing society of technology and specialized training.  Whether students seek two, four or more years of additional training after high school, the UA diploma will prepare them well for all options.

Understanding the importance of student involvement beyond the classroom, UA continues to increase its offerings relative to student interests so that there is something for everyone.  Our Sports Program also offers a pathway for student success, and participation in this program is considerable.  The student council plays a large role in the school by guaranteeing that the student voice is heard clearly.  Beta Club and National Honor Society also serve the school and the community, providing inspiration to all of our students to strive for excellence.
