Welcome Union Academy Lower School! 

The Lower School serves children in Kindergarten through Fourth Grade.  The joys and wonders of learning are the foundation of our classrooms.  Children are guided through a strong academic curriculum by means of developmentally appropriate activities.  Enhancing their days, students in all grades receive classes in physical education, music, art, media, computers and Spanish.  A dedicated team of Lower School staff cultivates energy and enthusiasm into every classroom.   The faculty works collaboratively to challenge students through creative and critical thinking, as well as problem solving.  Everyone is committed to the education of the whole child and the development of confidence for life-long learners.

Character education is at the very heart of the Lower School.  The school’s character traits are integrated into daily classroom lessons and behavior management.  Accomplishments in good character are celebrated.  Our motto is:  “At Union Academy we do the right thing even when no one is looking.”

Parents and family are always welcome at the Lower School.  There is a true partnership between faculty and families to provide a nurturing environment at school where children are comfortable and eager to learn.
