ABSENTEE STATEMENT

In order to participate in an extra-curricular activity, the student must be in attendance the day of the event.

BACKGROUND CHECKS

Criminal background checks are required for all employees, all volunteers working one on one with students, and all chaperones accompanying students on over-night trips.

All visitors to campus must sign in using our new LobbyGuard system located near the receptionists’ desks.  This system requires the user to present a license when signing in so that a mini-background check can be performed on all who enter the school.  This is another way that Union Academy makes certain that our facilities are safe.

BACKPACKS

Lower School Campus: 

·        For safety issues and due to space, book bags on wheels are not recommended.

Upper School Campus:

• Backpacks are permitted only when arriving to and departing from the school building.  Once in school, they are to be left in lockers. No bags other than purses are permitted in the hallways.  Students are encouraged to build their organizational skills by utilizing their locker times and carrying only what is needed during the day.
