Welcome Mr. Raymond Reinsant to Union Academy
Union Academy School's Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Raymond Reinsant as the school’s new Head of School, beginning June 15, 2009. Mr. Reinsant’s appointment was the result of an exhaustive nationwide search that took into consideration critical input from the Union Academy community, including administration, teachers, parents, and students. Mr. Reinsant has served as headmaster at number of independent schools in the USA and in Britain.
Founding Headmaster, Ken Templeton, has announced his June departure. He has accepted an assignment to lead Escuela Americana in the country of El Salvador. The transition to a new head of school is one of the most important events in the life of our young school. Mr. Reinsant has a vision for the future and passion for the values of the School. We believe Mr. Reinsant has the proven professional commitment and leadership to offer our students the best possible educational and growth experiences.

Mr. Reinsant comes to us with nearly 40 years of pre-K, elementary, middle and high school experience. Since 1970, Raymond has served as an English, Math and Religion teacher, Department Chair, Dean, Principal/ President, Headmaster, and in his last role as Superintendent.
A native of Pawtucket, Rhode Island, Mr. Reinsant received his undergraduate training at Providence College in Providence in 1971 and his Masters at Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, MI in 1976 and CAGS from Boston College in 1985. Raymond has specialized in Religious Education, English, and School Administration. Raymond has always loved the academic side of school and is eager to get involved in helping Union Academy reach its fullest potential.
